FACULTY
The Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage is proud of its faculty. Each instructor is fully trained in his/her respective field, with years of experience and successful private practices. Each instructor has a unique style and the diversity in expertise enhances OSTM's well-rounded program. The following featured faculty members have all been recipients of the student awarded "Teacher of the Program" award.
Jeanette Ball, B.S., DC
Anatomy * Physiology
Dr. Ball is a 1997 graduate of the New York Chiropractic College, and has been an instructor with the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage since 1999. She teaches Anatomy and Physiology at the Syracuse campus.
Stephanie Delahunt, PTA., LMT
Swedish * Pregnancy * Treatment Techniques
Stephanie Delahunt has been with the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage since 1999 and is the only faculty member to be voted "Teacher of the Program" at both the Syracuse & Rochester campus. Stephanie is a physical therapist assistant and a licensed massage therapist in the state of New York and is nationally certified as well. She has practiced in a physical therapy setting for over seven years. She has also worked in a chiropractic office setting and a beauty spa setting. She has taught several classes at OSTM: Swedish Massage, Medical Massage, Pregnancy, Connective Tissue Massage, Treatment Techniques and has also run the student clinic. Stephanie is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
Maria Petricola, B.A., DC, LMT
Anatomy & Physiology, Pathology
Dr. Maria was one of the school's first science instructors, helping open the Syracuse campus in 1997. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Maria teaches Pathology in the day program and Anatomy & Physiology in the evening program. In 2000, Maria earned her license in massage attending the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage evening program.
Benjamin J. Salloum, DC
Myology * Pathology
Dr. Salloum joined the faculty of the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in 1998. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the New York Chiropractic College, where he was a member of the Phi Chi Omega Honor Society. He earned his Associate's degree from the Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, NY. He teaches Myology in both the day & evening programs at the Syracuse campus.
Dr. Philip Dodge
Dr. Philip Dodge joined the Rochester campus faculty in 2003. He holds a BS in Biology from the University of Buffalo and DC from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. He graduated magna cum laude. He is also an adjunct at Rochester Institute of Technology. He is in private practice in Fairport, New York. He is married and has two children. Dr. Dodge enjoys marathon running and aerobic workouts. He encourages our students to get and stay fit.
Paula Schank, LMT
Paula Schank holds a Bachelor of Science in Holistic Bodywork.
She studied shiatsu at the Ohashi Institute in Manhattan, the Shiatsu Center in Toronto and the Iokai Center in Tokyo. Paula is a licensed massage therapist #008825,alumni of the New York Institute of Massage (NYIM) in Buffalo, New York. Training in CranioSacral Therapy and Yoga instruction enhance Paula's work. She is a member of the AOBTA (American Organization of Bodywork and Therapies of Asia,) certified practitioner #2354. Her practice is in Rochester, NY where she is currently an instructor at the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage.
