The Alumni Association

The Alumni Association is a graduate-run organization providing massage therapists with a forum to share information in a way that encourages growth on both a professional and personal level.

The Alumni Association president is on the school's advisory committee and has a voice in shaping institutional development. Alumni Association members receive first call for job outsource, bookstore discounts twice a year, priority reservations for school-sponsored events, and other benefits.

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage Alumni Association shall be to encourage individual professional development, to raise community awareness of massage therapy, to promote good fellowship among alumni, build lifelong relationships with the school and to enhance the reputation of the school.

Continuing Education Program

The Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage is committed to providing its graduates with opportunities to remain current in the growing field of massage therapy by providing the very best in continuing education. Please visit our continuing education link for scheduling information.

Alumni Association members receive a 10% tuition discount on all Continuing Education (CE) classes unless otherwise prohibited by the CE provider. The tuition for the CE class must be paid in full 30 days prior to the CE class to receive the discount.

Referral List

Graduates are invited to add their names to our graduate referral list. In this manner we can refer to you clients who are seeking a therapist in a specific geographical area, or who require a treatment technique in your area of expertise. Graduates are also called upon to work as independent contractors when massage services are requested for private events.

Referral Rewards Program

Our graduates are always recommending the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage, so we thought it was time to reward them for their support. OSTM Graduates receive a $100 gift certificate to the OSTM bookstore for every student who enrolls and reaches the midpoint of the OSTM program as a result of their referral. Please contact the admissions department at Syracuse or Rochester campus for details and referral kits.

Graduates whose schedules don't allow them to visit the school regularly can keep up with the latest school happenings via our on-line newsletter.

Equipment Rental

The school maintains several massage tables and chairs for those times when a graduate requires additional equipment at special events.

Special Events

The Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage regularly sponsors events designed to allow graduates the opportunity to stay in touch with classmates, to link with current students, or to gather socially. The Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage sponsors a reunion every 5 years. Graduates are often invited back to the school to be recognized for civic accomplishments, and they gather to compete against each other in the school's version of reality TV's Survivor (this event received national recognition - see News & Events).
